Miami Beach

Miami Beach is a narrow strip of land a little over seven miles (11 km) long and only a mile (1,6 km) wide at its widest point. It is seperated from mainland Miami by Biscayne Bay, and connected to it by three causeways. It probably has more hotels than any other comparable patch of land in the world, and in a few blocks at the southern end of the island it has the largest concentration of Art Deco buildings in America. And then there i the beach itself, running along the entire eastern side of the island.

South Beach, as the Art Deco District is also know, has become a hven for models and celebrities to hang out. Their presence adds to the already fascinatingly colorful landscape along Ocean Drive. The further north you go, the more family-oriented the beaches become and the taller the hotels are that line the shore.

No matter where you decide to spend the day, night or week, Miami Beach has enough diversity to keep anyone happy.
