The Everglades offer many great activities, including fishing, hiking, biking and horseback riding. Everglades National Park is a large park. Plan on staying at least one day and perhaps several to get a good feel for what the park offers.

Located in the northern end of the park is the Shark Valley Information Center, where you can board tram tours, rent bicycles or visit the book shop.
In Everglades city you can take a 12-mile boat tour trough the offshore Ten Thousend islands region. The Everglades national park Boat Tours leave from Parks Docks on Chokoloskee Causeway.
Canoeing is probably the most adventurous way of exploring the Everglades. There are a number of places where you can rent one
Outboard motorboats can be rented from Flamingo Marina. There's an inland water route, called the Wilderness Waterway, from Flamingo to Everglades City.
Everglades Alligator Farm is located on the edge of the Everglades National Park and is a great place to learn about the life cycle of the alligator.
You can immerse yourself in the native culture of Florida's Seminole tribe at the Billie Swamp Safari. Also the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum provides an introduction to the culture of the Seminoles.
