When arriving in the United States, Canadian citizens who plan to stay less than 90 days need only show proof of indentity and residence.

A number of countries are participating in the visa waiver pilot program whereby citizens of participating countries can travel to the United States for 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. A valid passport and return ticket are required.

Currently, 27 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program including: Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy. The Netherlands. Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Visitors from other countries should contact the United States embassy or consulate in their country for the exact details for obtaining a visa.
